Vans x C2H4 “50/50 Enlighten”

 

 

Vans has teamed up with C2H4 for a new project titled “Enlighten Enlightenment” at Vans Vault’s store in Shanghai. The collaboration features a large bronze-toned installation, with cyberpunk-style designs, featuring bold iterations of a Style 36 and Old Skool.

The Old Skool comes with heavily distressed black uppers, detailed with frayed collars and sidewalls. Crisp white laces pop out against the shoe’s suede panels at the eyelets and heel, while a large “C2H4” engraved metal plate is stamped at the heel counter. Finishing off the shoe is a white midsole that’s been weathered with scuff marks to complete the cyberpunk-inspired design. In contrast, the Style 36 features a cleaner design. It comes with smooth leather panels — one covering the eyelet panels and another at the heel, while a large white sidestripe is woven along the body. As a final note, the shoe boasts a glossy black midsole that complements silver-toned buttons appearing over the uppers.
