Vans has teamed up with C2H4 for a new project titled “Enlighten Enlightenment” at Vans Vault’s store in Shanghai. The collaboration features a large bronze-toned installation, with cyberpunk-style designs, featuring bold iterations of a Style 36 and Old Skool.
The Old Skool comes with heavily distressed black uppers, detailed with frayed collars and sidewalls. Crisp white laces pop out against the shoe’s suede panels at the eyelets and heel, while a large “C2H4” engraved metal plate is stamped at the heel counter. Finishing off the shoe is a white midsole that’s been weathered with scuff marks to complete the cyberpunk-inspired design. In contrast, the Style 36 features a cleaner design. It comes with smooth leather panels — one covering the eyelet panels and another at the heel, while a large white sidestripe is woven along the body. As a final note, the shoe boasts a glossy black midsole that complements silver-toned buttons appearing over the uppers.
The Vans x C2H4 “50/50 Enlighten” capsule will be available from now until the end of November at Vans Vault Shanghai

Leopard-printed uppers are build of sturdy, tightly-woven textiles and are dressed in a light tan tone. From toe to heel, this simple base is covered in brown and black leopard rosettes while black leather trim adds an air of elegance. Tongues, laces and Swooshes alike are done up in in black too, the first of which also features a large fabric Janoski tag.
There’s plenty of co-branded detailing to be had as well: each heel is embroidered with a duo of Japanese lettered graphics, and Zoom Air-equipped insoles feature WACKO MARIA’s familiar “Guilty Parties” hit. Trim white midsoles add an embossed WM graphic on the lateral rear, and traditional gum outsoles finalize the style.
The WACKO MARIA x Nike SB Janoski is set to release on Nike SNKRS come October 31. The MSRP is set at $95 USD.

Nike Sportswear has been blessing a laundry list of its collaborative partners with Dunk collaborations over the course of 2020, and the latest entity to join in on the fun is Bodega — thanks to a duo of striking takes on the Dunk High. Boasting extreme attention to detail, a retro-tinged look and quality materials, the bicoastal retailer’s Dunk collaboration is seemingly part sneaker and part moccasin.
Two colorways have been revealed: “Fauna Brown” and “Sail.” The former uses medium and dark brown shades atop a cream base, while the latter goes for a full sail upper with scant brown accents. Both feature moccasin-like leather rope lace assemblages on the quarter, collar and heel, working with the premium leather and suede build to give off a visvim-adjacent look.
These suede and leather panels feature intricate stitched details as well, and a Bodega spellout graphic is stamped on the medial quarter. The lateral quarters jewel Swoosh offers up a spotted tortoiseshell print for a final dash of flair. Of note is that the scribbles on the “Sail” pair’s midsole are not part of the design — they’re a mark indicating that the shoe pictured is likely a factory sample.
An official release date for the Bodega x Nike Dunk High “Fauna Brown” and “Sail” has yet to be announced, but the MSRP is set at $120 USD.

“There are many ways of doing things besides your own.”
We’ve linked with @vansvault on the sequel to our collaboration from 2018, once again flipping the OG Old-Skool LX. Refining the style further, we layered our signature linking handshake motif over four classic Vans color-ways. The motto on the box comes from “The Whole Earth Catalog,” and it’s inspired a lot of what we’ve done as a shop over the past few years, and what we try to stand for: teamwork, learning from one another, staying open-minded, and bringing people together.
Release details coming soon.- Notre

I need Mother Nature to take some time and get it together. "Echo, how's the weather": It's 78 today (she said). It was 40 something yesterday. This is that too much that I can't stand. Got me happy that the winter was coming, only to take it back the next day. SanQuon Mood hoodie is for you Mother Nature. Take a look.

Seoul-based artist Gyu Han Lee is known for transforming your average Nike box into not-so-average pieces of furniture, and now the world has another chance to see his pieces up close.
Following on from the artist’s “ON MY SEAT” exhibition at 003archive in Seoul last September, comes his latest work titled “The Pattern Is the Pattern.” This presentation will be showcased at Gallery Document in Seoul, offering pieces such as Nike boxes turned into chairs, benches, coffee tables, shelving units, and much more.
“The Pattern Is the Pattern” offers furniture that looks as if it’s
still in its development phase, as the box’s branding appears to give
each piece an industrial aesthetic. It’s an exercise in exploring the
intersection between something industrialized and something handcrafted
because the pieces exhibited are both, further examining form and
function, commercialization, and everyday life.
Gyu Han Lee says
that the exhibition title is taken from Netflix’s Maniac, adding that it
represents “the moment when the fragments of everyday life that seemed
meaningless are repeated and constitute a pattern of life.”
Take a look at the exhibition pieces above, and check out Gyu Han Lee’s “The Pattern Is the Pattern” in real life at Gallery Document in Seoul until October 17, 2020.
