ASICS GEL-Lyte III "Smoke Blue"

ASICS is back to its signature stylings on the GEL-Lyte III with a new “Smoke Blue” colorway. Offering oceanic ornamentation with a trifecta of blue hues, the “Smoke Blue” is a leisurely lifestyle spin on an ASICS classic. 
 

Three blue shades take up residence on the upper: light blue mesh graces the base layer and medium blue appears on the supple suede overlays, while blueberry-toned leather appears on the lateral Tiger stripes and heel tab. This Tiger stripe provides the shoe’s most interesting detail. While it is indeed a rich blue on the lateral side, it shifts to a bone-colored “Grand Shark” hue on the medial half, a potential nod to one of the ocean’s apex predators.

Cut-out windows on the heel showcase a small red graphic with Japanese kanji, with sail sockliners and shoelaces tying the top half together both literally and figuratively. Down below, a GEL-filled sail midsole and gum outsole complete the look.
