adidas‘s new UltraBOOST 20 hasn’t even been on the market for a month, but it’s already dropped in a smorgasbord of different styles, the latest of which to surface is a radiant “Solar Red.” Taking the UltraBOOST 20’s astral ethos in a dissimilar direction, this “Solar Red” style adds bright hues to the already-bold silhouette, creating what may very well be its loudest iteration yet.
Thanks to its full Primeknit upper, this UltraBOOST provides a sock-like fit, one that’s been fine-tuned to the millimeter by way of adidas Running‘s new Tailored Fiber Placement technology. This woven base is dressed entirely in blazing red tones to ensure a vivid look, equipped with a triangular International Space Station badge for a nod to adidas’s partnership with the station’s US National Lab.
Meanwhile, the heel clip and midfoot cage provide support, layered style and pops of contrast thanks to sturdy construction and iridescent violet accents. The BOOST midsole presents more shimmering violet hues, while a black Continental rubber both ensures traction and grants a calm, subtle contrast to the rest of the shoe’s wild shades.
The adidas UltraBOOST 20 “Solar Red” is available now at retailers like Politics and on adidas’ site with an MSRP of $180 USD.
