In honor of influential record label Ghostly International’s 20 years in the business, Vans is serving up a special pair of classic silhouettes, reimagined with thematic details. “The chance to design shoes with [Vans] is a dream come true,” says Ghostly founder and creative director Sam Valenti, underlining the synchronized mindset that fuels this celebratory release.
Each sneaker is executed in monochrome shades, highlighting the contrasting blue sockliner, which features logos from both Ghostly and Vans. The white Slip-On sports a tonal upper and midsole, with a stark black foxing stripe, while its darker counterpart, the Sk8-Hi, offers a black canvas upper and rubber midsole, juxtaposed against a white leather Jazz Stripe. Each model is emblazoned with an all-over 3M print of the Ghostly logo, offering a subtle flash of visual interest to complement the matte eyelets.
Head to Vans’ for more information and to purchase the sneakers on October 1, along with stockists like Blends, Bodega, Concepts and Notre.
