Vans Vault is releasing two pairs of it Old Skool Cap LX featuring a patchworked multicolored upper early next month. The sneakers take on the classic Old Skool aesthetic and update it with luxe suede, leather and premium canvas in colors including pastel pink, blue and purple alongside yellow, brown, black, white and red tones.
The Anaheim-based imprint has delivered various deconstructed kicks in recent months, such as Spring’s mismatched “Pony Pack.” With the “Regrind” collection, Vans Vault delivers even more attention to detail and well-executed deconstructed details with a floating Jazz Stripe, an exposed sponge collar and tongue and a “Please Tear Here” heel tab added as finishing touches.
Both pairs feature block coloring and checkerboard prints upon their uppers, utilizing suede to section-off components such as the heel, toe box, and forefoot. Unique details such as colored elastic loops holding the Jazz Stripe and a strip of looped elastic running along the eyestay elevate the sneakers even further, while an upside-down “OFF THE WALL” license plate and clean white sidewall round off the Old Skool Cap LX’s reworked aesthetic.
Both pairs can be picked up from 43einhalb and other select retailers for €99.95 EUR (approx. $111 USD) on September 1 at 00:01 CEST (August 31, 6:01 PM EST).
