UK-based footwear brand Dr. Martens, famous for updating youth culture classics for the modern audience, has teamed up with the Sex Pistols to create a new range of offerings.
Conveniently enough, the pairing of the two makes for a rather legendary collaboration, with both being the first to really expose punk culture to the masses. The band was one of the first to bring punk rock to the forefront, with their wild style and attitude being completely frowned upon by mainstream media. But in many ways their unique lifestyles lead a revolt against the working class status-quo, producing a new wave of youth in post-war Britain. To commemorate the iconic band, Dr. Martens has channeled their lasting influence, presenting a four-model collection that hosts an array of quotes and imagery from the group.
The all-black 1460 boots sport a backhand straw grain leather upper, toting a printed image of frontman Sid Vicious in action, a “I Wanna Be Me” track name at the rear, and red-stitching on the outsole that commemorates the skinhead style of the era. The ultra-high 1490 boots offer a similar leather in white, with bold contrasting-colors, and quote-filled black stripes marking the sides. The Derbys come in a smooth leather, with a cutout over-toe detailing that features a tonal metallic plaque. White “boredom” text marks the lateral sides.
Finally, the low-profile Pressler sneaker comes in a white canvas, with a black rubberized trim around the toe. The sneaker is equally doused in quotes, with the outsole donning a vibrant red. Both the sneakers and the boots utilize a yellow pull tab toting Dr. Martens “Bouncing Soles” slogan, paired with quote-printed laces that feature the Sex Pistols’ infamous track, “No Feelings.”

I should start this by saying that, that you shouldn't feel the need to be me. Live the life that works for you. We all don't make the same and in the end, that is all okay. I mean in the end, you should just be buying Sanquon anyway. So yeah, don't go broke just to go broke. That's not cute.
Now that we got that outta the way. It's tax season and you have worked hard. Buy you one nice thing. Two, three, four or whatever. I don't judge. I'm jello. My tax bracket doesn't get..... nothing. We have to p..... I mean nevermind. This is the oddest start to an LV haul. Let's go.

TAILORED JACKET WITH CURVED HEM
DISTORTED TEXTURE QUILTED JACKET
The black and white are the way to go because I don't know what those other color combos are. Nah.
Friendship Charm Calf Leather Bracelet
Well, that's the end of this Haul. I almost put Paul there for some reason. Anyways. Did you get something from the new LV collection? Let me know in the comment section or on Twitter/Instagram.

Keepall Bandouliere 50 (above)
This colorful take on the Keepall Bandouliere 50 represents the pioneering vision of menswear artistic director Virgil Abloh: the combination of his youthful vibrancy with the timeless elegance of Louis Vuitton. Made of Monogram-embossed PVC, this generously sized bag captures the eye with its bold, iridescent hues. A choice between the removable strap or top handles for carrying ensures versatility.
TAILORED JACKET WITH CURVED HEM
I joke and I play but every man needs a nice collection of five suits starting point. Think of it as having choices to be buried in. Gotta stay fresh till I die. This Tailored Jacket With Curved Hem is an elegant branded piece. Its technical cotton fabric is embossed with an allover Monogram motif, while the brushed gold buttons are embellished with an engraved Louis Vuitton signature and tonal enamel finishing. The jacket features a fitted cut, flap pockets and a curved hem that is visible when worn buttoned.
DISTORTED TEXTURE QUILTED JACKET
The Distorted Texture Quilted Jacket references the collection’s Rainbow theme with its distinctive wavy hem. Tailored in a relaxed fit, it is fully quilted, with a combination of special knitting techniques and different yarns creating a distinctive padded effect. An LV Circle medallion with the collection’s distorted finish adds a seasonal Louis Vuitton signature.
RGB Gloves
Artistic Director Virgil Abloh introduces the striking RGB gloves during his first season at Louis Vuitton. Adorned with printed rubber-effect motifs and featuring a different House signature on each hand, this bold pair is finished with contrast edges. Matching leather goods are available in the same vibrant shade.
The black and white are the way to go because I don't know what those other color combos are. Nah.
Friendship Charm Calf Leather Bracelet
The Friendship Charm Calf Leather bracelet is ideal for layering up with other jewelry from the men's Spring-Summer 2019 Precollection. Its white braid also looks striking when worn alone. A reference to the collection's The Wizard of Oz theme, an LV Initials charm featuring a brick-effect pattern completes the design.
CALFSKIN CUT AWAY VEST
This CALFSKIN Cut Away Vest is a sophisticated layering piece that channels all Louis Vuitton’s leatherwork savoir-faire. Crafted from soft calfskin, it is worn over the head and fastened with snaps at the right shoulder. Adjustable at the side, it features elegant tonal hardware and a functional zip pocket at the front.
After watching the first 'Bad Boys' movie, I used to walk around the house with a belt around my arms. I wanted to feel like I was wearing a gun holder. So yeah, copped.
Mini Soft Trunk
The iconic Monogram print is paired with contrast-colored resin chains, giving this Mini Soft trunk a striking look. With its boxy yet elegant shape, this eye-catching accessory is a contemporary take on Louis Vuitton's luggage-crafting heritage. The resin chain ensures versatility, as the trunk can be worn over the shoulder or carried as a clutch.

Nike’s SB Dunk “Panda Pigeon” has been causing a frenzy since it was teased by jeffstaple himself late last year. Though the coveted sneaker has already hit select retailers around the world, two release dates still lay on the horizon for this special SB Dunk model.
Set to release this Friday, January 25 at NYC’s Extra Butter, the retailer is amping up the drop by adding a special custom-made wooden box to accompany the “Panda Pigeon.” Along with the aforementioned, a collaborative Nike SB apparel collection dressed in bamboo green will also release.
The beloved silhouette is dressed in a black and white colorway featuring a signature “Pigeon” embroidery motif at the lateral heel. Finally, translucent outsoles of the sneaker showcase newspaper headlines from the infamous release event in 2005, which caused mass riots. Check out the imagery above.
The Nike SB Dunk “Panda Pigeon” will also be dropping one day earlier via StaplePigeon.com, however, Extra Butter’s release looks to be the final chance for fans to cop at the retail price of $120 USD. Head over to Extra Butter’s site to enter the raffle.

Vans has not stopped reworking the iconic Sk8-Hi since its return in June last year. This time around, the Anaheim-based skate brand gives it an “Animal Pack” makeover.
The high-top sneaker’s upper is done up in a collage of various animal skins. An undomesticated leopard fur vamp juxtaposes with brown and black pony hair on the lateral sides, while the label’s signature checkerboard motif and tiger stripes arrive on the extended lace stays and heel overlay. The Jazz stripes are detailed with dappled cheetah skin, whereas two round panels are attached to the top of the side zip fastening to mimic a wild animal’s ears. Rounding off the look, the deconstructed Vans logo, which is originally placed at the heel, now adorns the lateral section.

The streets are calling me. I try and stay away but I find my way back. I can't escape. I'm just talking about sneakers if you didn't catch that. I have never been in the streets. Anyways.
Nike is trying to keep that brand from Germany (adidas) off their ass, so they been making some fire lately. Which brings me to my most recent pickup. The Nike Air Force 270. Saw them this morning on the Sneaker Steals Twitter and jumped on it. So now I'm tossing it to y'all.
Sorry, nothing really long to talk about but this seems better. Get that deal.

Red Fox Supreme #DressLikeJavaris
Let me keep it real with you. I can't pick which way to open this one. I wrote four openings and I feel like I'm not doing anything justice. I can't think of which one hit me harder. Like the defensive end on the goal line. D-M-X. Am I the only one that hears the start of "What's my name" when I say his name. Anyways. I don't know about you but I know about me and this Ruff Ryder's Anthem. Booming. I wanted to be riding four wheelers up and down the street. Opening and shutting down shop (I didn't know what that meant at the time). Toss in the fact that I lived in Georgia and the movie Motocrossed and I was deep in. Disney if you are reading this, all this other stuff is cool but I (we all) really want all the old Disney Channel movies somewhere. Make that streaming service. Dammit. Or just give it back to Netflix but that's another story. (Post here)

The Rose That Grew From Concrete by Tupac Shakur (Book)
The Rose That Grew from Concrete (1999) is a collection of poetry written between 1989 and 1991 by Tupac Shakur
Tupac Shakur's most intimate and honest thoughts were uncovered only after his death with the instant classic The Rose That Grew from Concrete.
His talent was unbounded, a raw force that commanded attention and respect.
His death was tragic -- a violent homage to the power of his voice.
His legacy is indomitable -- remaining vibrant and alive.
Here now, newly discovered, are Tupac's most honest and intimate thoughts conveyed through the pure art of poetry -- a mirror into his enigmatic life and its many contradictions.
Written in his own hand at the age of nineteen, they embrace his spirit, his energy...and his ultimate message of hope.
Becoming by Michelle Obama (Book/Audio)
An intimate, powerful, and inspiring memoir by the former first lady of the United States
In a life filled with meaning and accomplishment, Michelle Obama has emerged as one of the most iconic and compelling women of our era. As first lady of the United States of America - the first African American to serve in that role - she helped create the most welcoming and inclusive White House in history while also establishing herself as a powerful advocate for women and girls in the United States and around the world, dramatically changing the ways that families pursue healthier and more active lives and standing with her husband as he led America through some of its most harrowing moments. Along the way, she showed us a few dance moves, crushed Carpool Karaoke, and raised two down-to-earth daughters under an unforgiving media glare.
Hidden Figures: The American Dream and the Untold Story of the Black Women Mathematicians Who Helped Win the Space Race (Book/Audio/Movie)
The phenomenal true story of the black female mathematicians at NASA whose calculations helped fuel some of America's greatest achievements in space. Soon to be a major motion picture starring Taraji P. Henson, Octavia Spencer, Janelle Monae, Kirsten Dunst, and Kevin Costner.
Before John Glenn orbited the Earth or Neil Armstrong walked on the moon, a group of dedicated female mathematicians known as "human computers" used pencils, slide rules, and adding machines to calculate the numbers that would launch rockets and astronauts into space.
Among these problem solvers were a group of exceptionally talented African American women, some of the brightest minds of their generation. Originally relegated to teaching math in the South's segregated public schools, they were called into service during the labor shortages of World War II, when America's aeronautics industry was in dire need of anyone who had the right stuff. Suddenly these overlooked math whizzes had shots at jobs worthy of their skills, and they answered Uncle Sam's call, moving to Hampton, Virginia, and the fascinating, high-energy world of the Langley Memorial Aeronautical Laboratory.
Even as Virginia's Jim Crow laws required them to be segregated from their white counterparts, the women of Langley's all-black West Computing group helped America achieve one of the things it desired most: a decisive victory over the Soviet Union in the Cold War and complete domination of the heavens.
Starting in World War II and moving through to the Cold War, the civil rights movement, and the space race, Hidden Figures follows the interwoven accounts of Dorothy Vaughan, Mary Jackson, Katherine Johnson, and Christine Darden, four African American women who participated in some of NASA's greatest successes. It chronicles their careers over nearly three decades as they faced challenges, forged alliances, and used their intellects to change their own lives - and their country's future.

If Beale Street Could Talk by James Baldwin (Book/Audio)
In this honest and stunning novel, soon to be a major motion picture directed by Barry Jenkins, James Baldwin has given America a moving story of love in the face of injustice.
Told through the eyes of Tish, a nineteen-year-old girl, in love with Fonny, a young sculptor who is the father of her child, Baldwin’s story mixes the sweet and the sad. Tish and Fonny have pledged to get married, but Fonny is falsely accused of a terrible crime and imprisoned. Their families set out to clear his name, and as they face an uncertain future, the young lovers experience a kaleidoscope of emotions–affection, despair, and hope. In a love story that evokes the blues, where passion and sadness are inevitably intertwined, Baldwin has created two characters so alive and profoundly realized that they are unforgettably ingrained in the American psyche.
All the Ugly and Wonderful Things: A Novel by Bryn Greenwood (Book/Auido)
A beautiful and provocative love story between two unlikely people and the hard-won relationship that elevates them above the Midwestern meth lab backdrop of their lives.
As the daughter of a drug dealer, Wavy knows not to trust people, not even her own parents. It's safer to keep her mouth shut and stay out of sight. Struggling to raise her little brother, Donal, eight-year-old Wavy is the only responsible adult around. Obsessed with the constellations, she finds peace in the starry night sky above the fields behind her house, until one night her star gazing causes an accident. After witnessing his motorcycle wreck, she forms an unusual friendship with one of her father's thugs, Kellen, a tattooed ex-con with a heart of gold.By the time Wavy is a teenager, her relationship with Kellen is the only tender thing in a brutal world of addicts and debauchery. When tragedy rips Wavy's family apart, a well-meaning aunt steps in, and what is beautiful to Wavy looks ugly under the scrutiny of the outside world. A powerful novel you won’t soon forget, Bryn Greenwood's All the Ugly and Wonderful Things challenges all we know and believe about love.
A Game of Thrones / A Clash of Kings / A Storm of Swords / A Feast of Crows / A Dance with Dragons (Book/Audio)
Winter is coming. Such is the stern motto of House Stark, the northernmost of the fiefdoms that owe allegiance to King Robert Baratheon in far-off King’s Landing. There Eddard Stark of Winterfell rules in Robert’s name. There his family dwells in peace and comfort: his proud wife, Catelyn; his sons Robb, Brandon, and Rickon; his daughters Sansa and Arya; and his bastard son, Jon Snow. Far to the north, behind the towering Wall, lie savage Wildings and worse—unnatural things relegated to myth during the centuries-long summer, but proving all too real and all too deadly in the turning of the season.
Yet a more immediate threat lurks to the south, where Jon Arryn, the Hand of the King, has died under mysterious circumstances. Now Robert is riding north to Winterfell, bringing his queen, the lovely but cold Cersei, his son, the cruel, vainglorious Prince Joffrey, and the queen’s brothers Jaime and Tyrion of the powerful and wealthy House Lannister—the first a swordsman without equal, the second a dwarf whose stunted stature belies a brilliant mind. All are heading for Winterfell and a fateful encounter that will change the course of kingdoms.
Meanwhile, across the Narrow Sea, Prince Viserys, heir of the fallen House Targaryen, which once ruled all of Westeros, schemes to reclaim the throne with an army of barbarian Dothraki—whose loyalty he will purchase in the only coin left to him: his beautiful yet innocent sister, Daenerys.
And just like that, we're at six. That should be enough for now. I'll be updating during the year and probably even next week knowing me. So check back and follow my Twitter /Instagram to stay in the know.
Update: Hey hello, what you doing? Me? Just dropping off more books.
