After 3 false labor visits to the hospital... this time 7 years ago, I went into labor with Janelle. It was such a long night/next day ahead of me.lol After hours and hours of contractions, around 7:30 a.m. the doctor finally decided to induce my labor and break my water. Throughout that day, my nurse said that she couldn't seem to track the contractions on the monitor. She did something to the machine for my contractions to get stronger (Set me up.smh lol). Within 10 minutes, I went from 4 cm to 10 cm...mind you, I didn't take any type of medicine from the minute I walked into that hospital.
Around 1:43 p.m. the doctor came in and said if I didn't push the baby (Janelle) out within the next 10 minutes; I would have to have a c-section.
I tried really hard.... I ended up passing out while I was pushing. My blood pressure went through the roof and Janelle's heart beat dropped really low.
Long story short, I had to get an emergency c-section. 14 staples and 8 stitches (they cut me open twice...she was stuck) later, My baby was born on 7-20-07 at 1:53 p.m. 6lbs. 5 oz.
From that moment up to this date, Janelle's presence in my life has been a total Blessing! I couldn't have asked for a better daughter.
Intelligence, beauty, uncondotional love, etc... what more do I want?!
