In 1854, Louis Vuitton revolutionized luggage with the first flat trunk covered in a sturdy, lightweight grey Trianon canvas. It wasn’t until 1888, however, that Vuitton — with the help of his son Georges — created a pattern of alternating brown and and beige squares that would become the Damier Canvas. Now LV’s most recognizable motif, the Damier Canvas returns in its latest iteration by way of the Damier Infini, Damier Ebene and Damier Challenge models, new takes on the travel icon that usher in a new, fashion-forward direction for the brand. With an array of brightly colored, flourscent options, along with traditional, business-appropriate makeups in black and brown, look for the Louis Vuitton Damier Signature Collection to release soon at Louis Vuitton retailers worldwide.
